Alex Wurz ensured Peugeot warmed up for the Le Mans 24 Hours in perfect fashion with victory at the Spa 1000km, the second stop in the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup...

Starting 13th on the grid, Wurz stormed into the lead before handing over to Anthony Davidson and Marc Gene, both of whom managed to maintain their lead.

Stephane Sarrazin, Franck Montagny and Nicolas Minassian ensured it was a Peugeot one-two as they finished 42 seconds off the pace to take second, while Audi finished third thanks to Allan McNish, Rinaldo Capello and Tom Kristensen.

Audi's also rounded out the top five, while Christophe Tinseau, Emmanuel Collard and Julien Jousse secured a sixth placed finish for the petrol-powered Pescarolo.
