Two moments of individual brilliance from Newcastle United’s Hatem Ben Arfa and Jonas Gutierrez lit up a dreary FA Cup victory over Blackburn Rovers.
Rovers took the lead against the run of play in the first-half and Newcastle struggled to break them down until Ben Arfa’s scintillating run and finish cutting in from the right-wing.
Not to be out done, Jonas did the same on the opposite flank, playing a one-two with Leon Best and applying a delicate chipped finish to beat Mark Bunn with the last kick of the game.
