Keluar ke masjid dengan niat untuk menunaikan sembahyang Jumaat pada seawal waktunya secara berjalan kaki dengan penuh tenang dan sopan disamping membanyakkan membaca zikir, berselawat dan bertahmid kepada Allah.

Sunat mengelokkan rupa parasnya dan membersihkan anggota tubuh badan sebelum keluar bersembahyang seperti memotong kuku, misai, mencabut bulu ketiak, mencukur bulu air-ari, menggosok gigi dan sebagainya.

Sunat membanyakkan membaca surah Al Kahfi pada malam Jumaat dan di waktu siangnya.

Sunat memperbanyakkan membaca doa dan memohon keampunan dari Allah pada malam dan waktu siangnya.

Memperbanyakkan membaca selawat ke atas Nabi s.a.w. pada malam hari dan di waktu siangnya.

Melakukan sembahyang sunat 4 rakaat sebelum Jumaat dan 4 lagi selepasnya.

Sunat membaca surah al Fatihah, al Ikhlas, al Falaq dan an Nas setiap satunya sebanyak 7x selepas memberi salam sembahyang Jumaat. Sabda Rasulullah s.a.w. "Sesiapa membaca surah Fatihah, al Ikhlas, al Falaq dan an Nas sebanyak 7 kali sebelum ia mengubah cara duduknya setelah imam selesai memberi salam pada hari Jumaat, nescaya akan diampuni dosa-dosanya yang telah dilakukan dan yang akan datang serta diberi ganjaran pahala sebanyak bilangan orang yang beriman kepada Allah dan RasulNya."

Whitney Houston, who ruled as pop music's queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, has died at the age of 48.

Houston's publicist, Kristen Foster, said Saturday that the singer had died, but the cause and the location of her death were unknown.

News of Houston's death came on the eve of music's biggest night — the Grammy Awards. It's a showcase where she once reigned, and her death was sure to case a heavy pall on Sunday's ceremony. Houston's longtime mentor Clive Davis was to hold his annual concert and dinner Saturday. It was unclear if it was going to go forward.

At her peak, Houston the golden girl of the music industry. From the middle 1980s to the late 1990s, she was one of the world's bestselling artists. She wowed audiences with effortless, powerful, and peerless vocals that were rooted in the black church but made palatable to the masses with a pop sheen.

Her success carried her beyond music to movies, where she starred in hits like The Bodyguard and Waiting to Exhale.

She had the perfect voice, and the perfect image: a gorgeous singer who had sex appeal but was never overtly sexual, who maintained perfect poise.

She influenced a generation of younger singers, from Christina Aguilera to Mariah Carey, who when she first came out sounded so much like Houston that many thought it was Houston.

Addiction woes

But by the end of her career, Houston became a stunning cautionary tale of the toll of drug use. Her album sales plummeted and the hits stopped coming; her once serene image was shattered by a wild demeanour and bizarre public appearances. She confessed to abusing cocaine, marijuana and pills, and her once pristine voice became raspy and hoarse, unable to hit the high notes as she had during her prime.

"The biggest devil is me. I'm either my best friend or my worst enemy," Houston told ABC's Diane Sawyer in an infamous 2002 interview with then-husband Bobby Brown by her side.

It was a tragic fall for a superstar who was one of the top-selling artists in pop music history, with more than 55 million records sold in the United States alone.

She seemed to be born into greatness. She was the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston, the cousin of 1960s pop diva Dionne Warwick and the goddaughter of Aretha Franklin.

Houston first started singing in the church as a child. In her teens, she sang backup for Chaka Khan, Jermaine Jackson and others, in addition to modeling. It was around that time when music mogul Clive Davis first heard Houston perform.

"The time that I first saw her singing in her mother's act in a club … it was such a stunning impact," Davis told Good Morning America.

"To hear this young girl breathe such fire into this song. I mean, it really sent the proverbial tingles up my spine," he added.

Before long, the rest of the country would feel it, too. Houston made her album debut in 1985 with Whitney Houston, which sold millions and spawned hit after hit. Saving All My Love for You brought her her first Grammy, for best female pop vocal. How Will I Know, You Give Good Love and The Greatest Love of All also became hit singles.

Another multiplatinum album, Whitney, came out in 1987 and included hits like Where Do Broken Hearts Go and I Wanna Dance With Somebody.

Early critical praise

The New York Times wrote that Houston "possesses one of her generation's most powerful gospel-trained voices, but she eschews many of the churchier mannerisms of her forerunners. She uses ornamental gospel phrasing only sparingly, and instead of projecting an earthy, tearful vulnerability, communicates cool self-assurance and strength, building pop ballads to majestic, sustained peaks of intensity."

Houston's decision not to follow the more soulful inflections of singers like Franklin drew criticism by some who saw her as playing down her black roots to go pop and reach white audiences. The criticism would become a constant refrain through much of her career. She was even booed during the Soul Train Awards in 1989.

"Sometimes it gets down to that, you know?" she told Katie Couric in 1996. "You're not black enough for them. I don't know. You're not R&B enough. You're very pop. The white audience has taken you away from them."

Some saw her 1992 marriage to former New Edition member and soul crooner Bobby Brown as an attempt to refute those critics. It seemed to be an odd union; she was seen as pop's pure princess while he had a bad-boy image, and already had children of his own. (The couple had a daughter, Bobbi Kristina, in 1993.) Over the years, he would be arrested several times, on charges ranging from DUI to failure to pay child support.

But Houston said their true personalities were not as far apart as people may have believed.

"When you love, you love. I mean, do you stop loving somebody because you have different images? You know, Bobby and I basically come from the same place," she told Rolling Stone in 1993.

"You see somebody, and you deal with their image, that's their image. It's part of them, it's not the whole picture. I am not always in a sequined gown. I am nobody's angel."

Bajet 2012 memperuntuk kan RM200 untuk setiap pelajar di IPTA, IPTS, Politeknik, Matrikulasi/Asasip Sains dan pelajar Tingkatan 6.syarat-syarat untuk mendapatkan Baucer ini adalah seperti berikut :

1. Semua pelajar warga negara Malaysia yang berdaftar sebagai pelajar aktif di IPTA, IPTS DAN POLITEKNIK mengikuti pengajian pada peringkat Diploma, Sarjana Muda, Sarjana dan Ph.D,matrikulasi/asasi dan pengajian persediaan termasuk pelajar di tingkatan 6 secara sepenuh masa dan separuh masa di institusi pengajian tinggi dalam negeri pada Januari 2012 layak mendapat baucar buku bernilai RM200

Pretty crazy when you think about it! The world’s top designers naming a 4-Door Citroen sedan the world’s most beautiful. That panel includes Giorgetto Giugiaro and Jaguar’s design director Ian Callum.

I think the DS is gorgeous. I completely agree with that assessment. For other reasons as well it’s amazing, considering it’s price and prevelance over other marques like Ferrari.

Apparently when it occurs on a business trip...

An Australian public servant is suing her employer for compensation after being injured while having sex during a business trip.

She works for ComCare, the Australian government’s—wait for it—workplace safety organization. During sex (not, for the record, part of her job) with a male friend (not connected to her job) a glass light fitting tore from the wall above the bed and struck her face. The woman, who cannot be named, suffered injuries to her nose, mouth, and a tooth, as well as “a consequent psychiatric injury,” described as an adjustment disorder, according to Australia’s Daily Telegraph.

ComCare originally rejected her claim for the November 2007 incident, saying that sexual activity was not an ordinary part of an overnight stay, such as showering or sleeping. (She was staying in a motel because of a business meeting she had the next day.) So the woman sued.

Her lawyer, Leo Grey, told a federal court there was no suggestion she’d engaged in misconduct. Her injury, he said, occurred during “an ordinary incident of life commonly undertaken in a motel room at night.” He pointed out that “there had not been any rule that employees should not have anyone else in their room without express permission of their department.”

ComCare has argued that “neither legal authority nor common sense” could find the injury was sustained during the course of her employment.

Observes US workers comp management consulting firm Lynch Ryan on its blog: “From the American litigation perspective, it might seem more logical to sue the hotel or the light manufacturer. But as Australia's comp law—unlike the American statutes—does allow compensation for pain and suffering, a liability claim might not add anything to the
potential payout.”

Could it be considered a work injury if the man had been a work acquaintance? It “might have been compensable,” observes the blog. “The devil, as always, is in the (salacious) details.”

Kita dapat mengenal pastinya jika bibir seorang wanita itu sangat mengancam dan berwarna kemerah-merahan. Dan rekahannya pula cantik. Selain itu, bibirnya juga bergaris-garis dan dapat dilihat dengan jelas.

Dahi Yang Berkedut
Gadis yang masih memiliki dara akan mempunyai dahi yang licin. Berbanding dengan dahi wanita yang tidak berdara yang mempunyai lapisan sebanyak tiga lapis walau masih muda. Ini dapat dilihat ketika mereka bercakap, berbual dan ketawa. Kedutan ini adalah berbeza dengan kedutan wanita yang berusia.

Bentuk Punggung
Bentuk punggung juga akan menggambarkan samada seseorang itu masih ada dara atau tidak. Bagi wanita yang tidak memiliki dara, punggunggya akan kelihatan seperti terjatuh ke bawah kerana sel-sel punggungnya mengembang kerana ransangan nafsu ketika melakukan hubungan. Apabila mereka berlari-lari dan bergerak akan kelihatan ianya seperti bergoyang-goyang. Berbeza dengan gadis yang memiliki yang pejal dan tidak bergoyang.

Telinga
Telinga gadis yang mempunyai dara akan kelihatan warna kemerah-merahan dan cantik. Wanita yang tidak punyai dara telinganya akan kelihatan leper dan tidak menawan lagi.

Tumit
Cuba lihat tumit anda. Di hujung tumit anda, cuba picitkan sedikit. Sekiranya selepas picit darah anda akan kembali ke posisi asal dengan cepat, ini bermakna anda masih berdara. Jika tidak, kawasan yang dipicit itu akan pucat dan darah kembali dengan lambat. Awas! Jaga tumit anda. Banyak kepentingan dan rahsianya lagi.
Ini hanyalah kaedah-kaedah untuk anda mengenal samada seseorang itu masih dara atau tidak. Tak payahlah nak pi test kat orang yang dah berkahwin dengan halal. Selain dara-dara yang tadi, kita masih mempunyai dara yang lain iaitu yang berkaitan dengan sensitiviti apabila berhadapan dengan lelaki.

Pipi
Jika pipi gadis itu licin, gebu dan kemerah-merahan serta tidak langsung memakai peralatan solek seperti pemerah pipi, bedak atau cecair pelembab muka, bermakna gadis itu masih berdara.
Gadis yang berdara selalunya tidak suka mengenakan make up. Terdapat juga gadis yang masih suci suka bermake-up, tatepi cara mereka bermake up tidak terlalu menonjol seperti seseorang yang ingin memikat lelaki. Sebagai contohnya sesetengah GRO, bohsia atau pelacur. Mereka akan mengenakan make up keterlaluan kerana mahukan diri mereka kelihatan jelita. tetapi disebalik kejelitaan mereka terserlah suatu rahsia, jelas mereka bukanlah lagi wanita bermaruah.

Pada raut pipi gadis yang masih dara, kelihatan merah apabila disentuh lelaki yang bukan muhrim. Terkadang raut wajah mereka menjadi merah apabila berbual atau berhadapan dengan lelaki. Mereka agak sukar untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan lelaki. Berbanding dengan wanita yang tidak berdara. Mudah sahaja mereka menyesuaikan diri dengan lelaki. Bagi yang sudah berumah tangga, kerana mereka sudah biasa dengan suami mereka. Tetapi pada golongan sebaliknya kerana mereka telah hilang dara dan sensitiviti dengan lelaki kerana sebab-sebabnya yang tadinya.

Kelihatan beberapa garis melintang pada pipi kiri dan kanan seseorang gadis yang telah berhubungan. Jika seseorang itu mempunyai lesung pipi, lesung pipinya kelihatan melekuk ke dalam dan terserlah kejelitaannya. Berbeza dengan gadis yang sudah pernah berhubung, lesung pipinya tidak terlalu dalam dan sisi lekukan itu diikuti dengan garisan yang menyambung lesung pipinya. Garis ini menunjukkan mereka telah tiada dara.

Telinga
Ketiadaan dara juga dapat dilihat dengan meneliti bentuk pada bahagian telinga kanan dan kirinya. Sedikit anak rambut akan kelihatan sebelah pipinya. Anak rambut ini berjuntai dan lembut serta halus. Anak rambut wanita pula tidak berdaya dan seolah-olah tidak bermaya serta tidak lembut lagi. Ini dapat dilihat jelas jika anak rambut itu ditiup angin. Ia mudah terselerak dan agak tidak teratur ketika ditiup angin dan apabila anak rambut itu kembali pada posisi asalnya. Pipi sisi anak rambut ini juga dilihat agak lebam dan ianya simbol wanita itu telah berkahwin.

Hidung
Hidung sesorang itu juga mampu menunjukkan samada dia pernah disentuh atau tidak. Hidung seorang gadis akan kelihatan menarik dan cantik. kedudukannya juga molek. Di hujung hidungnya kelihatan kemerah-merahan. Ini bukan kerena dia selsema atau ada masalah hidung tetapi ini kerena darah banyak tertumpu pada hidungnya. Jika anda masih dara, lihatlah hidung anda. Apabila hidung seorang gadis disentuh lelaki, hidungnya akan kelihatan begitu merah.
Begitu juga dengan wajahnya. Ini kerana sensitivitinya terhadap sentuhan. Bagi yang tidak merah pada hujungnya apabila disentuh lelaki, ini bermakna dia telah hilang dara sensitif ( dara kecil ).

Mata
Bukan mudah untuk seseorang yang hilang dara ingin menyembunyikan identitinya dari diketahui lelaki yang pandai meneliti. Sebab itu adalah wajar jika kita menjaga maruah dan menundukkan pandangan dari panahan lelaki.

Terdapat tanda lebam atau bergaris di bawah kelopak mata seorang yang tidak berdara. Lebam ini tidak seketara lebam orang yang tidak cukup tidur. Hanya sedikit garis seakan-akan hitam meliputi bawah kelopak mata yang terlipat itu. Iaitu kedutan pada bawah mata jelas dilihat jika si gadis sudah hilang dara.
Gadis yang masih dara, matanya kelihatan berseri dan tiada tanda seperti hitam, lebam atau bergaris-garis halus. Sebaliknya di sekeliling matanya kelihatan rata dan apabila dia ketawa bahagian bawah matanya tidak menampakkan kedutan.

Namun begitu…
Tidak bermakna wanita yang tidak berdara telah hilang keseriannya Sebenarnya, wanita yang telah hilang dara adalah lebih cun daripada gadis. Tidak hairanlah sekiranya janda dan isteri orang semakin menjadi rebutan. ( tak caya tanya suami anda ).
Yang menghilangkan serinya wanita tidak berdara ialah, mereka melakukan perbuatan terkutuk dan maksiat.

Petua Memandu Kereta Ketika Hujan !!!

Memandu ketika hujan lebat memberi kelebihan serta kesan baik untuk sistem penyejukkan, tetapi pada masa yang sama pandangan pemandu kurang jelas manakala permukaan jalan yang basah dan licin boleh mengakibatkan peratusan kemalangan yang tinggi. Ada beberapa aspek panduan jika berdepan situasi sedemikian.

Aspek pertama berkaitan kenderaan yang dipandu, iaitu:-

*Pastikan tiada kebocoran pada bahagian bawah kenderaan

*Semua pintu mempunyai dakapan (seal) yang baik

*Pastikan tiada kebocoran pada bahagian injin, kotak gear, galas dan bearing. Ini kerana air boleh memasuki bahagian yang bocor akibat tekanan arus tinggi dan ketika meredah jalan dinaiki air

*Sistem klac, sistem brek serta brek tangan dalam keadaan baik

*Keadaan bunga tayar yang baik bagi cengkaman sepenuhnya

*Pengelap (wiper), horn dan sistem elektrial iaitu bahagian lampu depan dan lampu kenderaan mestilah berfungsi dengan baik

Aspek kedua berkaitan langkah yang perlu diambil oleh pemandu ketika meredah jalan yang dinaiki air, iaitu:-

*Beri laluan kepada kenderaan berat dan anggarkan ketinggian air yang diredah dengan melihat had tinggi tayar

*Sekiranya paras air dibawah satu kaki, pemanduan boleh dilakukan tetapi pemandu perlu memendu secara perlahan. Ini bagi mengelakkan percikkan air membasahi injin khususnya bahagian sistem penyalaan

*Elakkan memendu laju kerana ia boleh menyebabkan bahagian injin dibasahi air dan pengguna jalanraya lain, khususnya penunggang motosikal dan pejalan kaki terkena tempias atau percikkan

*Selepas meredah jalan dinaiki air, elakkan terus memendu laju kerana sistem brek tidak berfungsi sepenuhnya berikutan permukaan brek yang basah.

*Bagi mengatasi masaalah ini ada beberapa panduan yang boleh dipraktikkan iaitu:

#Gunakan gear 1 dan 2 bagi kenderaan menggunakan sistem gear manual dan gear 1 bagi sistem automatik

#Tekan pedal brek serentak dengan pedal minyak bagi menghasilkan kepanasan pada permukaan brek

#Bagi kenderaan pacuan 4 roda, gear automatik sama seperti gear manual. Hadkan kelajuan antara 5 hingga 15 kmj dan jarakkan kenderaan anda dengan kenderaan dihadapan. Proses ini akan mengeringkan permukaan brek

#Uji tindakkan diatas berulangkali pada jarak 20 hingga 30 meter sahaja

#Uji sistem brek pada kelajuan 20 kmj
Sekiranya brek gagal berfungsi, ulangi proses diatas. Selepas itu uji lagi sistem brek sehingga prestasinya memuaskan sebelum memandu laju

Dan yang PENTING, Sila NYALAKAN LAMPU KENDERAAN ANDA....

1. Anda perlu selalu berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi dengan anak-anak dari usia mereka masih bayi atau ketika mereka masih belum lagi pandai bercakap.

2. Gunakan ayat yang pendek dan mudah. Apabila anda mahu menerangkan sesuatu kepada anak anda, pastikan ada ruang (pause) antara satu ayat dengan yang lain supaya anak anda berpeluang memberi maklum atau tindak balas

3. Mimik muka anda semasa bercakap amat penting. Ia mestilah bersesuaian apabila menyampaikan sesuatu maksud perkataan atau ayat

4. Selalu membacakan buku untuk anak dan meluangkan masa bercerita kepada anak

5. Dedahkan anak-anak anda kepada interaksi sosial kerana dengan cara ini anda memberi peluang kepada mereka mendengar perbualan di samping berjumpa dengan orang yang baru dikenali.

6. Anda mesti menjadi pendengar yang baik dan berusaha memberi perhatian serta cuba memahami apa yang disampaikan oleh anak-anak anda. Jika apa yang disebutnya tidak jelas, anda mesti bantunya dengan menyebut beberapa perkataan yang anda rasa mungkin itulah yang cuba disebutkan oleh anak anda.

Nak susu? Nak mainan?”. Atau apabila dia sebut “bola”, ulang kembali “Azman nak main bola?”. Jadikan ianya suatu kebiasaan.

10. Jangan sesekali kali memaksa anak-anak bercakap dan jangan pamerkan kekecewaan anda kerana mereka masih belum mampu bercakap. Bahasa yang pertama sekali anak-anak belajar adalah bahasa emosi dan mimik muka. Mereka lebih mahir membaca perasaan berbanding perkataan.

PUTRAJAYA (Nov 17, 2011): Less than 10% of the total 485,160 Year Six pupils who sat for the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) exam scored all As this year.

Education Ministry director-general Datuk Seri Abdul Ghafar Mahmud said the 9.48% accounted for 46,012 pupils, marking a slight decline of 0.54% from 2010's 10.02%.

Last year, 48,327 of 482,334 candidates obtained all As.

"This is just a small drop compared to those getting at least the minimum C Grade which has increased by 1.07% from 54.38% in 2010 to 55.45% this year.

"Such fluctuation in results is normal," he said announcing the overall results of the UPSR exam at the ministry here today.

However, he said, the overall performance of UPSR candidates this year is the best since the past four years when the National Average Grade (GPN) was first introduced.

In addition, he said, the percentage of candidates who got below than the minimum level (grades D or E or combination of both) for all subjects – has decreased by 0.51% from 3.39% last year to 2.88% this year.

Abdul Ghafar also noted there was a smaller gap between rural and urban schools this year compared to last year, attributing it to efforts, such as, the School Improvement Programme, Excellent Teachers and School Inspectorate.

“The gap between rural and urban schools has been narrowed down from 0.16 to 0.15 GPN value. I believe rural schools have improved a lot, from 2.40 GPN value last year to 2.38 this year,” he added.

He said national schools scored a better percentage of those obtaining A Grade in Bahasa Melayu (Pemahaman [Comprehension]) this year, which was by 1.9%, while in Bahasa Melayu (Penulisan [Composition]), the percentage showed a decline, by 0.6%, from last year.

However, the performance of vernacular schools, in terms of A Grade achievement, improved for both the Bahasa Melayu papers, by 1.3% and 1.9% respectively.

For the English language subject, Abdul Ghafar said, the Subject Average Grade (GPMP) value was maintained at 2.74 this year, similar to that of last year, but the percentage of A Grade scorers dropped by 0.5%.

As for vernacular schools, there was a decline in terms of both GPMP and percentage of A scorers, by 0.05 and 1.2% respectively.

For Mathematics, A scorers in both national and vernacular schools dropped by 0.3% compared to last year but its overall GPMP increased by 0.01.

On the other hand, the overall result for Science showed a decline in terms of GPMP and percentage of A scorers at 0.03 and 2% respectively.

The syllabus of Bahasa Melayu and English subjects differ between national and vernacular schools but the syllabus for Mathematics and Science subjects are the same.

Peugeot will introduce its 208 hatchback into the market next spring, and the car will be available in both 3-door and 5-door form. The company says that the car represents the most ambitious specification overhaul ever undertaken by the marque, and the result is a vehicle which it says represents a true generation leap.

It’s slightly shorter and lower than the outgoing 207 (-70 mm in length, -10 mm in height), but will offer noticeably increased occupant space, with more room in the rear seats (+50 mm at the knees) and a more generous boot (+15 dm3 in volume), while at the same time being significantly lighter, about 110 kg lighter on average compared with the 207, and as much as 173 kg lighter.

General exterior design cues on the sculpted and athletic looking vehicle include a ‘floating’ grille, light signature and ‘boomerang’ rear lamps, but the two body types have been given an entirely different treatment, says the company.
As for the interior, that’s pretty much reworked through too – the instruments and controls, for example, have been completely re-thought to become entirely intuitive and clear, and are positioned around a small steering wheel, a “head up instrument panel” and a large touch screen.

Around 25% of the car’s plastics are recycled or of natural origin; as a world first, the rear bumper and the fan assembly are made entirely using these materials. Peugeot says this type of bumper alone will permit a saving in manufacturing of 1600 tonnes of fuel a year.
Five diesel models, four of which are equipped with the new generation Stop & Start (e-HDi), will be introduced at launch. As for gasoline mills, the 208 will introduce a new range of 3-cylinder petrol engines, in 1.0 and 1.2 litre VTi form. Expect more details on the Pug as it gets closer to introduction.

They are not new but actually rather 40 years old spy photos of the Skyline KPGC10 coupe:

Back in the late 1969 and early 1970 Nissan was already developing the coupe version of the Nissan Skyline. Presumably these pictures were taken at the Nissan Granddrive test circuit.

You can clearly see it is a KPGC10-version from its rear arches:

Nice to see automotive manufacturers were just as paranoid back then about a new car leaking to the public as nowadays.

Eight years ago, as a Russian oligarch prepared to invest in an English club, Chelsea won their final game to finish fourth in the Premier League. Ahead of them, a regular sight in the division's upper echelons, were Newcastle United. The footballing landscape has been transformed between 2003 and 2011 but there is a sudden similarity: Newcastle are third again, Chelsea fourth.

The assumption is that the established order will reassert their authority, that this is an early-season oddity. It is probably true, too, but Alan Pardew's upstarts are ignoring the law dictating that money talks. Roman Abramovich's lavishly-funded plaything trail Mike Ashley's shrewdly-run business. They are frugal on both the balance sheet and the football pitch, statistically the country's best defence and one of its most potent strikers combining to see off Stoke.

The surprise package have lost their novelty value but, far from fading away, Newcastle recorded their best result of the season. Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool had visited Stoke in the league, scoring only once. "All the big teams have come here and no one's won," Pardew noted. Or not until the Toon Army stormed the Britannia Stadium with the aid of a man City coveted. Instead, Demba Ba delivered a hat-trick.

Because, with the ruthlessness top teams display, Newcastle are benefiting from others' misfortunes. But for a failed medical in January, Ba would be a Stoke striker. Instead, he went, via West Ham, to Tyneside without a transfer fee. With eight goals in four games he is, along with Robin van Persie, the form forward in England and might be the signing of the summer. Then again, given the class of Yohan Cabaye, he might not even be Newcastle's most astute addition.

"Demba's played like that all year," said Pardew. "He's been brilliant for us. He doesn't miss a day's training." Sadly for Stoke, he doesn't miss many chances either. For the opener, Leon Best flicked on, Gabriel Obertan raced clear and whipped in a first-time cross. Hanging in the air, arching his neck and sending Asmir Begovic the wrong way with his header, Ba converted it brilliantly.

The second was simpler, the Senegalese rolling the ball over the line after Best's scuffed shot became a telling cross. Once again, however, Stoke's uncharacteristic inability to deal with aerial ball was their undoing, Matthew Upson glancing the ball to Best. "Two poor goals," lamented Tony Pulis, who was philosophical about the one that got away. "We really fancied Demba for a while. People have to remember we weren't getting him on a free transfer: we were paying £9 million for him. The medical people didn't think that was a risk we could take."

Ba's treble was completed from 12 yards after Robert Huth barged Best in the back. Before then, however, his contribution had extended into both boxes. His push, though scarcely powerful, resulted in Peter Crouch going to ground and Jonathan Walters thumping in the subsequent spot kick. "Both penalties were soft-ish," Pardew added. The spot kick apart, Stoke were subdued in a way they rarely are.

It was a coup for the unlikely ensemble at the back; for men like goalkeeper Tim Krul, who had started more league games for Falkirk than Newcastle before this season, and Ryan Taylor, a sometime right-sided midfielder who has proved a more reliable left-back than Ashley Cole and Patrice Evra of late, and, above all, the excellent Fabricio Coloccini. The fright-wig that seemed suitable for Halloween, if not the other 364 days of the year, should not deflect attention from the fact he is a seriously good defender.

Whatever their individual attributes, it was a triumph of teamwork. United has been an inaccurate suffix for many a Newcastle side, but not the current collective. A shared commitment to defend was epitomised by Jonas Gutierrez, haring back to provide additional cover against Jermaine Pennant, and all the more admirable as Cheik Tiote, whose battling qualities make him ideally suited to such fixtures, was absent injured. His regular accomplice, Cabaye, caressed passes with masterly assurance. Elegance, however, was less apparent than effort.

"You have to show real character and my players did that tonight," Pardew added. "They showed another side to them." They showed they are a side with unusual staying power. This is their longest top-flight unbeaten run for 61 years, since Jackie Milburn terrorised defenders on Tyneside. But United sides tend to be known for their goalscorers, rather than the group. It was Wor Jackie then. Now it is Wor Demba reminding Newcastle of past glories.

MAN OF THE MATCH: Demba Ba - Plenty impressed and Gutierrez was fantastic, but it is hard to ignore the claims of the scorer of a second hat-trick in the space of four league games. Ba's first goal was brilliantly taken and his partnership with Best is shaping up nicely.

STOKE VERDICT: A dispiriting start to a gruelling week that includes a 7,000-mile round trip to Israel in the Europa League. It is rare to see Matthew Etherington substituted when Stoke need a goal, but that was one sign that the usual threat lacked his normal spark. Crouch, too, was unimpressive. Not for the first time, Walters overshadowed some of the bigger names although there were times when Huth appeared their major attacking threat.

NEWCASTLE VERDICT: Terrific result, outstanding performance. They were organised, determined, hugely energetic in their pressing game and displaying a remarkable work ethic. It is worth remembering that some tipped them for relegation; instead, with 22 points, they are more than half way to safety already. The acid test of their credentials, however, comes after the international break when three successive Saturdays feature meetings with the Manchester clubs and then Chelsea.

Did You Know Drinking Water At The Right Time Is Important?

TIME FOR DRINKING WATER:
Most people say that they drink water when they feel that their throat is thirsty. However, our research group says that simply drinking when you are thirsty is insufficient in maintaining the body's moisture (fluid). On the other hand, too much drinking can cause "water intoxication" a.k.a. hyperhydration or water poisoning.

To get healthy, let us drink water at the right time and at the right quantity. But when and how?

Drink two glasses of water - after waking up. It helps activate the internal organs.

Drink glass boiled water - 30 MINUTES BEFORE MEALS. It aids digestion and makes the stomach more than willing to provide space for the entry of food.

Drink a glass of water - BEFORE YOU BATH. It helps blood circulation and reduce blood pressure.

Drink a glass of water - BEFORE SLEEP. It can avoid contact with stroke and heart attack in her sleep ..

The kidneys clean (filters) the blood with water, but don't you know that the quantity of water that passes the kidneys is about 150 liters in a day!? The average person has approximately 4 – 5 liters of water in the blood, and the kidney filters almost 99 % of it repeatedly. Excessive moisture or water is discharged as urine.

We tried to analyze the quantity of sweat and urine after exercise and quantity of water taken after being thirsty. The result – an average person lost 520 ml of sweat and urine while they drank only 150 – 200 ml of water. Yet, why many were satisfied with just less than a half of water intake compare to the 500 ml loss of water from the body?

It is probably psychological or some mechanical effects of the mouth that make us feel thirsty. It means that if you do something to your mouth, although you are losing moisture from the body due to sweat and urine, you may not feel thirsty at all. Bingo! We discovered that if you stimulate the mouth, a certain wave or signal will go to the brain, and you will not feel any thirst at all. Try it by yourself.

The thirst mechanism can be altered by "hallucination". That's what it means and it is really true.

5. BAWANG GORENG SEGERA, Seorang kawan melawat ke sebuah perusahaan kecil membuat bawang goreng, dan melihat terdapat banyak straw minuman. Yang bewarna dan tidak bewarna diasingkan. Apa yang mengejutkan ialah straw yang tidak bewarna dicampur bersama gorengan bawang yang bertujuan apabila plastik straw tersebut dipanaskan, ianya melebur lantas menyaluti bawang tersebut. Sebab itulah kalau bawang goreng segera yang dibeli terdedah kepada udara tak akan lembik tapi kalau kita buat sendiri lembik dalam masa yang singkat sahaja.
